Beginner Weight Lifting Tips

3
Lifting weights is one of the best routines to shape your body the way you want it and to also lose some of those extra pounds.
You can create or learn a weight program that you can begin very slowly and advance as you learn weight lifting tips and techniques.
These programs will also give you the added benefits of creating better endurance and strength, increasing your cardiac function, increasing flexibility and balance, and increasing bone density in females.
Many people are not only confused by weight lifting, but the equipment and techniques seem to be overwhelming and people will often just back away.
You can always engage a trainer to help you through the first few weeks but you can just as easily learn the basics for yourself and set up your own program.
If you are going to a gym there are always people ready and willing to share their knowledge and help you learn the ropes.
You need to make sure that you start a weight lifting program based on your present ability, not what you hope to do.
Take some weight lifting tips from some of the top body building work out routines and start out slow.
You need to start with weights that are comfortable for you.
Don't get out there the first couple of days and try to lift weights that will strain your muscles.
You can end up with some real damage.
You want to gradually challenge your muscles and get them used to heavier weights over a period of time.
You will be constantly challenging and subjecting your muscles to more resistance than they have been used to and this will build muscles.
You do this by performing repetitions or reps of an exercise.
For building muscles you will perform fewer reps and more sets.
You increase the weights to make it harder to perform the reps and continue to increase the weight when the current poundage is no longer challenging.
Never work the same parts of the body on two consecutive days.
For instance, you can do cardio everyday and then work your arms and chest one day and the next day you can work your lower body.
Muscles need 24 hours to recover and your entire body needs 1-2 days off a week from the intensity of a body building workout routine.
If you need a new goal in your life, try weight lifting and body building to get that perfect body you have always wanted.
An added benefit will be a more healthy lifestyle.
