Richard Chamberlain
American actor Richard Chamberlain (born March 31, 1934 in Beverly Hills, CA) rose to prominence in the 1960s as the lead in the popular television series Dr. Kildare (1961-1966).
Chamberlain's TV acting career began in the 50s after co-founding the Los Angeles-based theatre group, Company of Angels. Chamberlain's Broadway credits include Breakfast at Tiffany's (1966) alongside Mary Tyler Moore and the revivals of My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music.
His film repertoire includes The Towering Inferno, The Last Wave, and The Three Musketeers.
In his later years, Chamberlain has guest-starred in many popular TV shows, such as Will & Grace, Desperate Housewives, and Chuck.
