You may be a chartered accountant, back office executive, or a homemaker, but nowadays English and communication have equal importance with the technical aspects of the job. Most of us, in today's busy life and schedule, don't get time to learn or join English-speaking courses. Due to our lack of ability to speak English, at times we feel inferior in our personal and professional life. Fret not, we have certain tips that will surely help you improve your English communication skills.

1. Listen and observe- We listen to many things in a day and so we observe them. However, from now onwards, try to learn from these things. For eg- If you listen to English music or news, or watch English movies with subtitles, try to match the subtitles with what the actor is speaking and try to repeat it. Don't worry if you make mistakes or skip any words, people learn from their mistakes only. Good listening skills and observation makes you a better communicator as well.

2. The more you speak, the better you will be- One can learn car by driving himself, not by watching it. Similarly, practice is equally important in English. Try to frame small sentences and talk with family members, friends in English only. English speaking not only increases your vocabulary, but will also enhance your confidence. In the starting phase, you will make grammatical mistakes, but gradually and slowly, you will come to know your problem areas and the ways to resolve it how to resolve it.

3. Reading loudly- When you read loudly, you are listening to what you are speaking and that will not only enhance your way of speaking, but will also increase your vocabulary and remove your shyness of talking to people in fluent English.

6. Take help of a dictionary if you counter any difficult words. This will not only clear your doubts, but also enhance your vocabulary.

Keep a notebook of new words you learn. Try to use them in sentences and use them at least three times when you speak.
