How to Enjoy on Board Cruise Events
- 1). Find out the itinerary. Each day you should receive an itinerary that lists all of the onboard activities for that day and night. Take note of each time and location since some activities will be held at the same time and you will have to choose which one you’d prefer. Some of your activities can be using the pool or hot tub, dining with friends and family or relaxing in the spa. Keep in mind that there are extra charges for some activities, such as massages and salon use.
- 2). Play a game. Most cruise ships offer daily and nightly games that are fun to participate in, and you can even win prizes. These are usually quite casual and let you get to know your fellow shipmates. The prizes can range from a plastic trophy all the way up to an expensive bottle of wine or champagne. The most important part is that they are fun and can give the whole family something to do.
- 3). Take in a show. You’ll find variety, comedy and Broadway shows on the ship, and these are listed in your itinerary. Most of these shows are held at night and some are for adults only, so be certain you check the listing first before taking your children along. These shows are held in a theatre, and you are able to order drinks while you enjoy the show. Some are even interactive, such as some of the comedy shows, so be sure you want to be a part of it before you choose the front row to sit down.
- 4). Try some gambling. Casinos are a popular part of any cruise ship, and as long as you’re over the age of 18, you can enjoy gambling while at sea. The ship casinos are like any other casinos so do try to be mindful of how much you are spending.
- 5). Relax at a bar, dance in a disco or sing. There are numerous bars, nightclubs and discos on board. You can relax in a piano bar and listen to the music, or have fun dancing in the disco. You can even sing your favorite songs in the karaoke bar.
