How to Fill in Chipped Paint on Trim
- 1). Dip a 1-inch-wide paintbrush in a can of paint.
- 2). Slap the paintbrush against both sides of the inside of the paint can to remove as much of the paint as possible.
- 3). Gently brush the chipped paint area with the paintbrush to apply a thin layer of paint. Be careful not to apply paint over an already painted area.
- 4). Let the paint dry completely.
- 5). Apply another coat of paint if the paint color in the chipped area does not yet match the paint on the wall.
