How to Downgrade E 72 Firmware
- 1). Activate the LCD on the Nokia smartphone by pressing a button. Enter “#0000#” without the quotes, using the keypad. Write down the information about the phone that appears on the screen. Press the “Call” key to remove the information about the screen. Then press the “End” key.
- 2). Launch the default web browser by selecting it from the “Start,” “All Applications” menu. Enter the Nokia website in the browser’s address field. Click on the “Support” tab at the top of the page.
- 3). Click on the “Firmware” drop-down menu on the new page that appears. Highlight the firmware file that is one version earlier than the one written down. Click the “Download” button to download the file to the desktop. Quit the web browser when the download is completed.
- 4). Connect one end of the USB cable to the Nokia phone. Then connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on the computer. Click the “X” in the upper-right corner of the pop-up window when it appears.
- 5). Double-click the firmware file that is on the desktop. Follow the default menu prompts of the firmware installation program, to install the firmware onto the phone. Quit the installation program when it says it's done. Disconnect the phone from the USB cable and the cable from the computer.
