Some of the Best Albums to Do Work To
When it comes to listening to music while working, you cannot just listen to anything.
Depending on the type of work you do, it may require a lot of focus, and therefore music with lyrics is not always ideal.
Classical music is nice, but sometimes you need something that will keep you more awake.
Here are some of the best albums and bands to listen to while working.
Ratatat is probably my favorite music to listen to.
While they are no doubt very talented, all the music sounds similar enough that you can put on an album of theirs and listen the whole way through.
The newest album from DeadMau5 (pronounced "Dead Mouse" ) is another one I very much enjoy listening to.
It is upbeat electronic and gets me going.
LCD Soundsystem has lyrics in his music, but they are sparse enough that it is easy to get lost in your work listening to any of his albums.
At the end of the day or if I am working late at night, I enjoy listening to any Broken Social Scene record.
It tends to be more relaxed instrumental music, and a great "cool down" for the day.
The new Drake album is surprisingly enjoyable to work to.
It is on the more laid back side and not what I expected at all from this popular artist's debut record.
There is unexpectedly more singing than rapping in this album and Drake makes it work.
Another great album that I have been listening to while I work is Welcome To Mali by Amadou and Miriam.
Based out of Africa, Amadou and Miriam churn out African influenced music and while there are lyrics involved, they are mostly in Swahili, so you can not even tell what they are saying, but it is very enjoyable to work to.
