Removing Norton Internet Security From Your Computer
- 1). Click the "Start" menu and scroll to the Control Panel icon and click it.
- 2). Click the "Add or Remove Programs" option. When a list of programs appears, select "Norton Internet Security."
- 3). Select "Remove," and then select "Remove All" when prompted. At this point, you can follow the instructions onscreen as they take you through the entire removal process.
- 4). As a second option, download the Norton Removal tool, or if the previous steps are unsuccessful. The tool is available at the Symantec site listed in the Resources section. Save the file to your desktop.
- 5). Click the newly downloaded file, represented as the Norton Removal Tool icon.
- 6). Follow the instructions to remove Norton Internet Security. Reboot your computer when finished.
