The Gulf of Mexico Has Great Activities - Travel to the Beach it is a Great Travel Destination
The Orange beaches on the Gulf of Mexico are fantastic.
They have great places to relax and have a great meal.
Many have a view of the Gulf or on the beach.
It is heaven.
The restaurants are fun places that need to be visited.
There is a beautiful museum with air shows to see.
Some areas are practical like home.
There are little towns that have hardware store or grocery stores.
There is a hospital too.
The Beach Club has a beautiful restaurant that serves lunch and dinner and the dining room overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.
The food is great and reasonable.
Lulu's is a restaurant right on the canal as you enter Gulf Shores and gives you more of a rustic look with wood plank floors and has open air seating on the porch.
When the breeze comes off the gulf, yea it is nice.
As you move east on the East Beach Boulevard toward Orange Beach, Alabama, you will come to Live Bait Restaurant which is a favorite for some friends of ours.
As you get into Orange Beach there are condo's on the beach side of the road and businesses, grocery stores, hardware, eating places on the north side of the blvd.
On the beach side is The Island House Hotel .
They have a delicious breakfast buffet on Sundays which we enjoy and also serve meals during the week.
There is a good shopping outlet mall called Tanger, in Foley as well.
Foley is only a few miles up hwy 59 from Gulf Shores East of that on the same Blvd is Zekes Landing.
This Restaurant has 2 different areas, one is called "Down Under" " "Grill and Sports Bar and the other "Zekes Restaurant has dining over looking the waters around it.
They also have a Charter Dock and arrange Deep Sea Fishing.
Deep sea fishing down here is very productive.
How about having that for dinner.
They will take care of you.
Another great place to eat is in a museum.
If you proceed east on the blvd for about 30 minutes you will come to a National Museum in Pensacola, Florida where we both volunteer when we stay down here.
"The Homefront " is on the 2nd floor of the museum and is a one block replica of Pensacola in 1943 during the 2nd World War.
It has good food and is a fun place.
