Spiced Swedish Meatballs
These lightly spiced Swedish meatballs are served with a sauce made with sour cream. These meatballs are delicious with hot cooked noodles.

Swedish Meatballs With Oats
Herb and Garlic Meatballs
Mix ground beef, bread, milk, egg, onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; place in an ungreased 15x10x2-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° until browned, about 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove meatballs to serving dish and keep warm.
Place 4 tablespoons of drippings from pan in saucepan over low heat. Stir in flour. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat. Stir in water, beef base or bouillon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, tomato paste, dash pepper, and a few dashes nutmeg. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; continue to cook and stir for 1 minute. Add sour cream and heat through; do not boil. Pour sauce over meatballs. Sprinkle with a little minced parsley.
