How to Make a Spinning Centerpiece
- 1). Choose the theme for your centerpiece. Will it be functional or merely decorative? Consider the venue and the guests when you're deciding; a children's party should have a different centerpiece than a formal dinner.
- 2). Choose the contents of the centerpiece. Flowers are always a good choice -- and work for almost any occasion. A bottle of wine and some cheeses would be perfect for a cocktail hour, or fill your centerpiece with gourmet cupcakes and other sweets for an after-dinner treat.
- 3). Arrange the elements carefully on the lazy susan. Taller elements should be in the center, and smaller objects should be placed around the edge. Weigh-down any tall vases or bottles with water or sand to keep them from falling over when the centerpiece is turned.
