Ideas for a Double Page Scrapbook
- Scrapbooking is a great way to connect with friends and relax. Scrapbooking provides you with a creative outlet that provides an effective way to cherish your memories and special events. With so many types of scrapbooks, layouts and designs, there are times when you come up short on creative ideas for a double-page scrapbook. It can take more time figuring out the layout of your pages than it does creating them.
- On the left page, use a large photo, such as a 5- by 7-inch or an 8- by 10-inch image, as the title page. You can place the title of the spread above the photo or next to it. On the right page, place three or more smaller photos that tell the story of the larger photo on the left page. For example, if the layout is celebrating your baby's first birthday, place a single shot of her blowing out her candles on the left page and three or more photos on the right that show the details of the party. Place random words on the right page that help describe and commemorate the event.
- On one of the pages, place a bunch of photos. On the other page, write the details of the event as a journal. The journal entry can be written on the scrapbook page or on lined journal paper. Cut it out and paste it to the page, giving it more of an authentic journal look. If you want a clean look, type the journal entry on a computer, print it and attach it to the journal page.
- Find three horizontal photos and place them in a straight line from top to bottom of one of the pages. On the other page, place three vertical photos and align them in a straight line. This is very visually appealing. Write short phrases, words or dialogue to explain the event's details next to or above the photos.
