How to Get Waves in One Night
- 1). Wash the hair with shampoo and rinse your hair and towel it dry. Apply leave-in conditioner to the hair.
- 2). Place a dime-sized amount of curling serum into the palm of your hand. Rub the hands together to distribute the curling serum. Distribute it onto your hair by running your fingers through your hair. To give your hair more volume, pull the roots up towards the ceiling.
- 3). Dry your hair with a diffuser, until it is 70 percent dry. Use a static-free brush to brush the hair and remove knots or tangles.
- 4). Part your hair down the middle, using the pointy end of the fine-tooth comb. Separate the hair into two equal sections. Begin French braiding one braid on the left or right side. Use a rubber band to secure the end of your braid.
- 5). Braid the other side in a French braid. Use a rubber band to secure the end of the second braid.
- 6). Sleep in your braids for at least 5 hours. The longer you sleep with the braids, the tighter and more defined your waves will be.
- 7). Feel the braids to see if they are dry. Only remove the rubber bands from the end of the braids when both are completely dry. If the braids are still damp, place the diffuser onto your hairdryer and dry the braids. Once the braids are dry, remove the rubber bands.
- 8). Unravel each braid with your fingers. Run the fingers through the hair to separate the waves.
