How to Reset the Warning Sensors on a 2005 Mazda RX8
- 1). Turn the ignition switch to "OFF."
- 2). Pull the top of the fuse panel cover out and down to remove it from the fuse panel. The fuse panel is beneath the steering column.
- 3). Grasp fuse No. 28 with the fuse pullers. Fuse 28 handles the engine control unit that monitors the sensors. It is near the top of the fuse panel in the right-hand column.
- 4). Pull the fuse straight out away from the fuse panel to remove it.
- 5). Turn the ignition switch to "ON." Do not start the engine. Wait three minutes to give the computer a chance to reset.
- 6). Turn the ignition switch to "OFF."
- 7). Press the fuse back into its slot with the fuse pliers. Remove the pliers from the fuse.
- 8). Replace the fuse panel cover. Press on the top and bottom of the fuse panel cover to snap it into place.
