What Causes Panic Attacks Now!

5
As you may know, Panic Attacks are very severe and can come quite quickly, often without warning.
Many people assume that panic attacks are a result of a confronting a phobia.
More often than not however, this is not the case.
On this page I want to take a little look at the causes of panic attacks.
It is worth mentioning at this point that attacks tend to run in the family.
Those that have had relatives that suffer from panic seem to be more likely to suffer from them in their life.
It doesn't matter what the cause is.
Of course, the main reason is the fact that people are facing a phobia of theirs.
This can cause them to go into a sort of 'sensory overload' and cause them to break down.
In these cases people know exactly what is causing their panic attack and thus they know how to deal with it.
Some people who suffer from panic attacks tend to be facing a very stressful situation in their life.
In fact, this is one of the top causes of panic.
For example, research has shown that those who just got married, had a child, have financial difficulties, had a change of workplace etc.
seem more likely to suffer from this attacks.
There is no real reason for it in these cases.
It just happens.
In most cases the attacks will stop naturally once you have learned to deal with your new situation.
Remember, most people dislike change! In some cases severe stress (i.
e.
the death of somebody close to you) can end up causing a rather severe panic attack.
Of course, the cause of panic attacks will not just be down to the way that you feel mentally.
It could also be down to a number of medical factors.
These include:
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Hypoglycemia (this is low blood sugar.
It is common in those with diabetes)
  • Use of stimulants.
It could be something as 'common' as coffee or as dangerous as cocaine.
  • Withdrawal from some types of medication
  • Mitral Valve Prolapse.
This occurs when the valve of the heart doesn't close up properly.
This is a medical problem which will need to be dealt with by a medical expert.
If you are suffering from repeat panic attacks then it is important that you get to the root of the problem as soon as you can.
In some cases it may be worth speaking to a psychologist who will be able to help you out.
