Men in Trees gave Abraham Benrubi a major romantic lead. As the bartender in Elmo, Alaska, he gives relationship "expert" Marin Frist (Anne Heche) some lessons in men, and he himself is caught between his ex-wife Theresa (Sarah Strange) and the town escort Sara (Suleka Matthew).

How are things going having a main role on Men in Trees vs. ER?
?It's been good, man. It feels really good to be a big part of the show, to have people listen to your ideas and be able to contribute and collaborate with the directors and producers and really be a part of the world of the show.

Not that I wasn't on ER but to a much smaller degree. It's been super fun and everybody on there is great. We really laugh and just have a good time. Lucky.?

Do you believe he knows what he's talking about in relationship advice?
?I think he believes he knows something about what he's talking about.?

The Clint Eastwood theory makes sense.
?Yeah. Ben is just trying to keep it all as calm as possible and maintaining two women and floating back and forth is kind of crazy.?

How far ahead are you?
?We are not very far ahead. We're only three episodes ahead at the moment and as of right now, he is reunited with his wife Theresa. But Sara has just come back to town and she'll be stirring up some trouble.?

Who do you think's better for him?
?I think because he wound up marrying Theresa that that's probably the better way to go. But I have a feeling that Jenny Bicks, our creator, is going to throw a wrench in the gears and get him in trouble.?

I'd say Sara, because she appreciated him when his wife was dumping on him.
?That's true.

That's absolutely true, but I think Ben's sort of a romantic at heart. He wouldn't have married Theresa if he didn't really have strong feelings for her.?

Are you going on the cast trip to Alaska?
?I would be involved for sure. I'd love to go up there. The stock footage that they use in our show from Alaska looks beautiful and I've only heard good things about Alaska. Emily Bergl actually went to a small town that would be like Elmo and she had a great time and met a bunch of really friendly people. People took care of her and took her on hikes and fed her elk and all that kind of stuff.?
