Quickest Way to Clean Up Grout
- 1). Fill two buckets with cool water. Put on cleaning gloves to protect your hands.
- 2). Saturate a grout sponge in one of the buckets. Designate the other for rinsing the sponge.
- 3). Wipe the wet sponge over tile surfaces and joint lines, using circular motions to remove the excess grout. Frequently rinse the sponge in the rinse bucket. Frequently refill both buckets with fresh water to prevent smearing grout back over the tiles.
- 4). Glide the wet sponge over joint lines to smooth down the grout so it sits slightly lower than the tile surfaces. Frequently rinse the sponge.
- 5). Clean the tiles one more time to wash off any remaining excess. Wipe the sponge across the entire tile surface using single strokes. Regularly rinse the sponge and refill the buckets with fresh water.
- 6). Let the grout film dry for a couple hours to form a haze, then gently buff off the haze with a soft, dry rag.
