On December 15-17, 2000, the American College of Cardiology sponsored an extramural symposium in New York City, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Valentin Fuster of Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, reviewing the most current topics in cardiovascular medicine. These topics ranged from coronary artery and microvascular disease to recent advances in the understanding and treatment of congestive heart failure.
