How to Boil Water for Medicinal Herbs
- 1). Fill the tea kettle with room-temperature distilled or purified water. Do not use an aluminum kettle as it may release chemicals into the water.
- 2). Set the full kettle on the stove and put on the lid. Use the appropriate burner for the size of the kettle.
- 3). Turn the heat to high and let it heat. When the kettle begins to whistle, the water is boiling.
- 4). Let the water reach a full boil for several minutes to eliminate any possible organisms or bacteria. It's then ready for use.
