Battle Strikers Toys - A Parent"s Guide
There has been a lot of talk about the new spinning top game, Battle Strikers, which launched this summer.
If you are the parent of a boy aged 6 and above, you will probably have heard of this new toy.
But how much do you really know about it? To give you a bit of a heads up this article will cover what the Battle Strikers game is and what exactly to buy if you are buying it as a gift.
The Battle Strikers spinning top game has taken spinning tops from their classic wooden variety to the next level.
They are now colourful, controllable and customisable.
The magnetic technology used by the new toy enables each Striker to be launched without a rip cord.
Instead the Striker is attached to the underside of a hand held Launcher.
It is revved up to a super speed and then released into battle.
The magnets come into play once again via the fingertip controller.
This allows players to steer their spinning top around the battle arena, attacking their opponent or fending off strikes.
The aim of the game is still to battle your enemy out of the playing field or to be the last top spinning.
If you are buying this new toy as a gift you need to know that you cannot just buy one of the Battle Strikers themselves unless the child you are buying for has all the start up kit.
To be more specific each player needs a launcher and a controller as well as a Striker.
One of each of these items is included in a Starter Pack.
If you are buying for two children in the same family, or if you want the child to be able to play with a friend, you should consider buying the Tournament Set.
This includes two of each of the playing necessities along with two Strikers and a Battle Arena.
The arena is not actually required as Battle Strikers can be played on any flat surface, but the two player option is recommended as this is supposed to be a competitive game.
Finally the customisation aspect of the game is only possible if the child has two or more Strikers.
The pieces of each Striker can be taken apart and mixed and matched and put back together all mixed up to create a brand new unique Striker.
There is some skill to this as each part makes the Striker more powerful in one of three areas: attack, defence or control.
By building with parts from high attack rated Strikers you should be able to make a super Striker.
This extends the interest of an already fun new game.
