How to Add Volume in Air Compressors
- 1). Attach a T-valve to the tank from which you will connect the line to the tool you are using.
- 2). Connect one end of a compressor hose to the part of the valve that sticks out at a 90-degree angle. Connect the other end directly to the second tank. Connect the tool you are using to the part of the T-valve that sticks out directly from the primary tank.
- 3). Turn on both compressors. The first tank to reach low-pressure switch level will kick on first. Meanwhile, the other tank will sit at pressure until it is needed. If the primary tank drops below pressure the second tank will kick in seamlessly and you won't have to wait for pressure to build back up to continue working with your tool. While it is supplying your air, the pressure in the primary tank will build back up to switch level and be available as soon as pressure drops in the second tank.
