How to Paint a Stomp Box
- 1). Clean the stomp box with a mild soap. Place a drop of mild soap on a towel. Run the towel under hot water. Wipe the stomp box with the soapy towel.
- 2). Dry the stomp box with a clean towel.
- 3). Sand the stomp box with a medium-grit sandpaper. Run the sandpaper over the wooden surface of the stomp box using circular motions. Wipe the sawdust off the box with a clean towel. Sand the paper again using a fine-grit sandpaper. Wipe the sawdust off the box with a clean towel.
- 4). Apply a water-based primer to the stomp box using a paint brush. Allow the primer to dry for about three hours.
- 5). Paint the stomp box with a water-based paint using a paint brush. Allow the first coat of paint to dry for about two hours. Paint a second coat of water based paint. Allow the paint to dry for 24 hours.
