How to Hook a Sonos to the Internet
- 1). Turn off your network router and Sonos device you are connecting to the Internet. You can connect any of the ZonePlayers or ZoneBridges you have to the Internet, and it will share the connection with the other Sonos devices set up in your home.

Connect an Ethernet cable to a numbered port on the back of your network router. Alternatively, connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of your Internet modem. - 3). Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into the top leftmost Ethernet port on the back of the ZonePlayer or ZoneBridge. On most Sonos ZonePlayer and ZoneBridge models, the Ethernet ports are located in the top left-hand corner of the back face of the player.
- 4). If you are connecting your Sonos device directly to the modem, but would like to keep your network router connected to the Internet as well, plug another Ethernet cable into the second Ethernet port on the Sonos device, and plug it in to your router as if the cable were directly connected to the modem.
