16
    • 1). Choose a theater that offers birthday-party packages. The pricing will vary by theater, depending on the size of your party and any perks you choose. Speak the the theater manager before booking if you have any questions or special circumstances, such as wanting a private room for cake or if you're concerned about secure storage for your child's birthday gifts.

    • 2). Pick a movie that's playing in the theater during when you plan to host your child's birthday party. You may be able to request an older movie if you're renting an entire auditorium, though you may have to supply the film. Choose an age-appropriate film.

    • 3). Send themed invitations to your guests, such as a mock movie ticket with your child's picture on it, or a popcorn bucket-shaped invitation. Be clear about the party taking place at the theater.

    • 4). Arrange a meeting place for your party to gather, such as a private party room if available.

    • 5). Serve cookies, cake or cupcakes before or after the movie and pass out party favors.
