How to Kill Baby Poplar Trees
- 1). Remove the top from a 1-gallon garden sprayer and fill it half-full with water.
- 2). Add 5 to 7 oz. of glyphosate herbicide to the tank. Place the top on the tank and shake to mix the water and herbicide. Remove the top from the tank.
- 3). Fill the tank to the 1-gallon mark on the side of the tank, and place the lid back on the tank securely.
- 4). Spray the poplar seedlings with the glyphosate herbicide solution. Coat the top and bottom of leaves as well as the stems with the liquid.
- 5). Monitor the poplar seedlings for five to seven days. Apply a second treatment of glyphosate herbicide, if necessary, to achieve complete control.
