    • 1). Insert the large end of the pipette into the bottom of the bulb. Make sure the pipette fits snugly into the end of the bulb.

    • 2). Remove the gas cap for the tank on your mower and set it aside. Insert the end of your pump down into the gas tank.

    • 3). Squeeze the bulb to force the air out of the bulb. Release the bulb and the gas will begin to rise quickly into the pipette.

    • 4). Lift the pipette out of the tank and place it into a gas can or other container.

    • 5). Squeeze the small inlet that is on the side of the bulb. This allows air to seep into the bulb to release the liquid.

    • 6). Repeat Steps 3 through 5 to drain the gas can with your homemade transfer pump.
