Homemade Transfer Pump
- 1). Insert the large end of the pipette into the bottom of the bulb. Make sure the pipette fits snugly into the end of the bulb.
- 2). Remove the gas cap for the tank on your mower and set it aside. Insert the end of your pump down into the gas tank.
- 3). Squeeze the bulb to force the air out of the bulb. Release the bulb and the gas will begin to rise quickly into the pipette.
- 4). Lift the pipette out of the tank and place it into a gas can or other container.
- 5). Squeeze the small inlet that is on the side of the bulb. This allows air to seep into the bulb to release the liquid.
- 6). Repeat Steps 3 through 5 to drain the gas can with your homemade transfer pump.
