    • 1). Pull off the plastic bezel surrounding the radio. If you can't get it free by using your hands, place a small flathead screwdriver between the bezel and the dashboard and gently pry back to release the clips.

    • 2). Unbolt the stereo from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Slide the stereo out from the dashboard and unplug the antenna and wiring harness using your hands.

    • 3). Slide the metal cage that comes with the replacement stereo into the vehicle-specific dash kit and use the flathead screwdriver to depress the metal tabs on the inside of the cage to lock it against the dash kit. Then bolt the dash kit to the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket.

    • 4). Strip 1/4 inch of shielding from the end of each wire on the replacement stereo's wiring harness using the wire strippers. Then crimp a blue butt connector onto each wire using the wire crimpers.

    • 5). Match each color-coded wire on the replacement stereo's wiring harness with the corresponding color on the vehicle-specific wiring harness, strip 1/4 inch of shielding off each end using the wire strippers, then crimp them together using the wire crimpers.

    • 6). Plug the combined harness into the wiring harness from the dashboard on one end, then connect the other to the replacement stereo. Plug the antenna lead in as well, then push the stereo into the dashboard until it clicks solidly in place.

    • 7). Push the radio bezel back onto the dashboard until it clips into place.
