How to Adjust a Bronco Ignition Switch
- 1). Turn your key in the ignition all the way both to the left and to the right to attempt to start the car or remove the key in these extreme positions.
- 2). Make sure your gear shifter is positioned fully in Park. You may not be able to move or start the key if you are not securely in park. Turn the steering wheel hard in both directions to free the tires if they are stuck in an awkward position.
- 3). Spray your cylinder with a lubricant to attempt to turn or remove the key from the switch with less friction.
- 4). Remove the dashboard panels around the ignition coil to see if anything is restricting the cylinder from operating normally. These panels can be removed with a flat blade such as a screwdriver or knife.
