How to Draw the Skeleton Structure
- 1). Trace the outline. Draw a medium-sized circle for the head. Draw the neck line under the head and a flat, horizontal line for the shoulders. Draw downward hanging arms and oval-shaped hand outlines. Draw a line down the midsection -- a horizontal hip line, vertical legs lines and oval-shaped feet outlines. Draw two small circles to indicate knees. Draw two horizontal skull feature guidelines. Draw a tiny, horizontal line below the head circle to act as the midpoint for the teeth. Draw an upward swooping curve -- similar to a bell curve -- across the midsection line to act as the ribcage outline.
- 2). Draw the skull features. Draw two large, dark circles for eye pits in between the skull feature guidelines. Draw a dark triangle for the nose pit. Draw the chin and mouth in the shape of a letter "U" around narrow rectangles indicating teeth.
- 3). Draw the upper body. Draw the neck and shoulder bones. Shape the neck bones in the shape of two horizontal disks. Connect the clavicles and sternum in the shape of a round-edged letter "T". Draw the shoulders and upper arm bones in the shape of a rook -- the chess piece. Draw the ribs -- connecting to the sternum. Draw the two forearm bones. Draw the fingers and thumbs in the shape of green beans. Sketch two tiny lines, evenly spaced, on each finger to indicate knuckles.
- 4). Finish drawing the spine and hips. Draw three more spine circles down the midsection line. Draw the pelvic area in the shape of a pretzel or a heart.
- 5). Draw the legs and lower body. Draw each femur bone -- upper leg bone -- in the rook-like shape. End the femur at the knee circle. Draw the tibia and fibula -- lower leg bones -- beginning at the knee circle and ending at the ankles. Draw the feet and toes. Erase initial trace lines, as necessary, and shade in the skeleton with colors of your choice.
