You know, one thing I'm sure all us poer players get burnt out on is being beaten on the river by an opponent with a weak hand that we know should not have remained in the hand to begin with. It's a good thing black hat poker exists.

One night, I was playing in a local tournament and my hand was Jack, ten and the flop comes out 8, Queen, 6. So, with the potential straight on the board, I'm looking good since I'm only up against three other players and none of the cards are suited. So I throw out a small bet in attempts to push out the weaker hands. Two of the other players stay and I say "So what?"

The turn is a 5 and still, since it's not suited either, I feel like I'm doing pretty well. So, I raise a bit and one of the other players drops out. So I got this one guy left in front of me who's been betting loose all night. So, I'm praying for a 9 on the river so I can catch him. Well, he re-raises me to where I'm not all in, but I'm close. So, this is a tough situation since I am certain he has a queen. Still, though, like my odds and decide to stay. I won't lie and tell you personal feeings didn't get in the way of this one and I didn't have black hat poker in my memory bank, but I still could see that 9 coming.

The river reveals a 7 and I know I'm done. His queen has got me, but with the nature of his play, I'm thinking he has nothing. I could high card him and at this point, I have next to no chips left. So, I go all in with him. I explain I have nothing and then he flips over his hand.

When he revealed his 7, 4 offsuit, I could have shot him in the face. I mean, who bets that high and stays in until the river wih that crap?

So, if you've had nights like this, I would advise investing in the black hat poker program. It's a life saver. My bad beats like this one decreased dramatically afterward.
