6/12 Monday Night RAW Recap
- The show starts off with Paul Heyman explaining that despite the controversial finish to the WWE championship match last night, Rob Van Dam is the new WWE Champion because the match was contested under ECW rules. He then announced that Edge is the number 1 contender for the title and will be facing RVD at Vengeance and then invites Edge to their TV show tomorrow night.
Randy Orton vs Kane ? After a few minutes of action, the two men fight on the ramp and the ref counts them out.
After the match 1996 Kane comes out and fights with 2006 Kane. The 1996 version of Kane choke slams the 2006 version of Kane off the top of the ramp. Winner: double count out
- Charlie Haas comes out to apologize to Lillian Garcia for accidentally knocking her off the ring apron and injuring her wrist. Before she can accept his apology, Viscera comes out and destroys Charlie Haas.
- Vince delivers his state of the union speech and informs Triple H that after his gauntlet match with The Spirit Squad tonight, he will be injured just like his old friend Shawn Michaels.
Wet & Wild Match: Candice Michelle vs Torrie Wilson ? The winner of this match will be on the cover of the WWE Summer Special magazine. The ring is filled with water items like water guns, water balloons, and buckets of water. Torrie pins Candice shortly after drenching Candice with a bucket of water. Winner: Torrie WIlson
- Footage of Trish Stratus hosting the Canada Walk of Fame ceremony is shown. In addition to singing and dancing, she also kissed Pamela Anderson on the lips.
Gauntlet Match: Triple H vs The Spirit Squad (Kenny/Mikey/Nicky/Johnny/Mitch) ? Vince McMahon is at the top of the ramp and make the ref get out of the ring. When it is 4 on 1, The Spirit Squad drape a chair over Triple H?s neck and Vince calls out Mitch to jump on the chair to break the neck of Triple H. Mitch comes flying out of the entrance beaten up. He is followed out by Shawn Michaels. Shawn and Triple H destroy The Spirit Squad and then reform D-X by doing the infamous crotch chop together. Triple H then gets on the rope and moons Vince McMahon. Winner: No Contest
- In the back, Vince makes a match for Vengeance between The Spirit Squad and D-X
Umage w/Armando Alejandro Estrada vs ?Hacksaw? Jim Duggan w/ Eugene ? Umaga destroys Duggan and at one point broke Jim Duggan?s 2x4 over his own head. Winner: Umaga
- Mick Foley came to the ring to do a promo. He was interrupted by Ric Flair. The history between these men dates back to the books they wrote. Flair called Foley a glorified stuntman in his book. They almost came to blows but Foley backed off because he claimed to have blurry vision from his hardcore battle last night. The two men will face off in a best of three falls match at Vengeance.
Carlito vs Johnny Nitro w/Melina ? Shelton Benjamin is at ringside doing commentary. It is announced that the three men will be battling for the I-C title at Vengeance. When Carlito went for the back cracker, Benjamin interfered and cost Carlito the match. Winner: Johnny Nitro
- Todd Grisham interviews Mickie James. Mickie laughs at how the last three people to get in her way (Ashley, Trish, & Beth Phoenix) all suffered freak injuries. Randy Orton then comes out and challenges Kurt Angle to a match at Vengeance.
- Edge says that he will be at the ECW show tomorrow night.
- A bunch of ECW stars come out and sit in the front row.
Edge w/Lita vs John Cena ? A minute into the match, Lita jumps on Cena?s back to get Edge disqualified. After the match, Cena beats up Justin Credible, Stevie Richards, and Balls Mahoney before announcing that he will be at the ECW show tomorrow. Winner: John Cena by DQ
