Summer Music Series in Santa Anita

For more than 15 years, Cal Phil has turned up the heat in summer with spectacular sounds of music. And this year is hotter than ever as Cal Phil moves its acclaimed Festival on the Green summer concert series to its new home at Santa Anita Race Track!

With its diverse programming, exciting featured artists, phenomenal orchestra and esteemed Maestro Victor Vener, hailed for his masterful music direction and engaging commentary from the podium, music lovers throughout the region will continue to be entralled by these powerful concerts. But that is only the beginning.

Long recognized for bringing the SouthLand the finest in top tier horse racing, Santa Anita Race Track is now also leading the pack of outdoor concert venues with a newly renovated infield specially designed to accommodate this world class orchestra and set against a spectacular backdrop of the glorious San Gabriel Mountains. What's more, with a state-of-the-art stage, table seating, lawn lounging, jumbo video screens, pre-concert family friendly activities and live jazz provided by redwhite+bluezz, as well as an array of amenities including gourmet dining, full bars, ample restrooms and unlimited parking, this season's winner is you!

Ticket Policy
Tickets are non-refundable. Patrons may exchange tickets for another performance in the same series, subject to availability. Exchanges must be made at least 24 hours before the performance, in person, at the California Philharmonic office. If an exchange cannot be made, unused tickets can be returned to the California Philharmonic office in person, or by mail, 24 hours prior to the performance for a tax-deductible donation. The California Philharmonic reserves the right to refuse admission and refund purchase price or eject any person who is deemed disorderly or fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein.

Carefree Summer Evenings
Pamper yourself and your guests€"order your picnic supper from one of our gourmet caterers and simply enjoy the music, the venue and the food. There's a selection to satisfy nearly every taste and budget. Call ahead (2 weeks to 24 hours prior to the concert) to place your order. They'll have your order ready at the Festival Village. Thirst Aid
No great evening is complete without your favorite beverages. We have a great selection to choose from, including fine wines, beers, soft drinks and coffees. Forget the hassle of packing it in with you, just pick it up on site at the Festival Village.

Cool Jazz
Chill out with live jazz before Maestro Vener and the California Philharmonic take the stage. Enjoy smooth sounds from some of today's best names in contemporary jazz performing at the redwhite+bluezz jazz stage.

Useful Information
You'll find this information indispensable when planning your concert evening. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm, but the gates of Santa Anita Race Track open at 5:30 pm for live jazz and dining.

There is ample handicapped parking at the venue. A disabled drop-off area is available in front of the main entrance (see map). Inside Santa Anita Race Track, the paths are asphalt, hard dirt and grass. There are no wheelchairs available.

Children of all ages are welcome. However, concert etiquette suggests that if a child becomes fussy, parents should be prepared to take him or her from the audience area as a courtesy to others. Children may not run or play among patrons in the lawn area during the program.

Help us keep Santa Anita Race Track beautiful. Refuse receptacles are provided for your convenience.

For those of you who prefer to bring your own meal, please make certain your baskets or thermal carriers are kept under your tables, as
aisles are narrow.

Dress comfortably and bring a jacket or sweater for the evening. Remember to wear shoes suitable for walking on grass.

No Smoking. Santa Anita Racetrack prohibits smoking or cooking anywhere on the grounds.

Concerts begin at 7:30. Gates open at 5:30 for dining & live jazz, so come early and stay late!
