What exactly does MLM stand for? Multi Level Marketing.
It is big business these days, especially online.
What does it mean and can you actually make money by joining a MLM? The reality is yes there are plenty of people that have made big money using MLM practices.
However, the majority of those people are the creators or early joiners of the programs.
Picture a MLM, it is basically a pyramid.
The top person starts the program and then they get someone else to join, and that person gets someone else to join, etc.
It's a premise built on bringing more and more people into the program and each one of those people pay to join.
A portion of what each additional person pays goes to the people above them.
The percentage each person receives often depends upon how many people they have personally brought in, or how high they are in the pyramid.
The higher on the pyramid the more money is made.
The problem is it is usually pretty easy to get people to join if the entry costs are small enough, but it is much more difficult to get them to stay long term.
People want instant financial gratification.
They want instant results and when they don't see them, they move on.
Unless you are near the top of the MLM, the odds of you being able to build your down line to any degree that will stand the test of time is slim at best.
Is there money to be made in MLM's, sure, but is it a sure thing, absolutely not! It's a gamble, it's all about how many people can you get to join and how many people will they get to join and so on.
It's a tough process and even tougher to get enough people to join and stay long enough to earn much more than a few dollars.
