The Break Up Blues - 4 Ways to Pick Up the Pieces And Improve Your Chances in Getting Back With You

11
Going through a break up is never easy, particularly if you are the one who's on the receiving end of it! No matter how long you have been together, it's never pleasant.
It's painful feeling so lonely and empty, and is devastating being the one getting dumped.
At times, it seems the only thing you feel like doing is just lie around and sulk.
You just can't get motivated to do anything except trying to come up with ways to get back with your ex.
That's a bad idea though.
The following is a short guide to help you pick up the pieces, re-adjust your attitude and get through a break up with your ex.
There's even a good chance that you can get your ex back by using these tips! Is that even possible? If you play your card right it is.
For starters, the most important thing you can do is to keep busy and do something.
Anything.
What it is you are doing isn't nearly as important and just getting up and going what you enjoy.
The key here is that by keeping busy, you're less likely to think about getting dumped, or how upset you are, and of course - reliving the break up in your head like bad TV re-runs.
Go and do the things you enjoy, but do it more often.
Pick up that hobby you've been thinking of getting into, or get out and play an extra round of golf here and there.
Heck, you could mow the lawn, change the oil in your car.
Whatever it is, just do it! Another option to consider is to give back and volunteer at a soup kitchen or food pantry.
Grab a hammer and help build a Habitat for Humanity home.
You'd be amazed at how good you will start feeling about yourself when you lend a hand and help out other.
Get together with some friends.
Even sitting through a movie or watching some television can help you get over your break up as long as you don't do it by yourself.
Having friends and family who care about you and that you care about can often be the tipping point between losing your mind or getting over that break up.
Heck, having anyone around you is great boost in moving on.
Many times, just talking about the situation and getting another point of view can help also.
Be sure to let your friends know that you're wanting to stay active and ask them to keep you in mind when they plan any activities or events as well.
And you also need to spoil yourself a bit and (without going crazy with it), go get yourself something nice or do something special for yourself.
If you have a few extra dollars laying around (you should, you're not spending it on anyone else right now are you?), go to the spa, take a weekend trip, hit the mall, or just go get that new gadget you've been wanting.
It doesn't have to be extravagant either.
Simple treats can work wonders as well, if you tell yourself that you are doing it because you are worth it and deserving of it.
Go grab some ice cream or order a pizza.
So you're probably wondering how any of this will work to your advantage with respect to getting back with your ex.
It would be foolish to think that going out with friends, taking a weekend trip, or playing a little extra golf will cause your ex to come crawling back and pleading for reconciliation.
They are, however, simple tricks to keep your head up and your attitude straight and help you remember that the life as you know it is not over.
The likelihood of getting back with your ex is non-existent if you're moping around, haven't showered in days, and are covered in Cheetos dust.
