How to Make a Brooch Corsage
- 1). Cut a circle from a piece of cardboard. The circle should be roughly 3 inches in diameter. Cut a circle from the middle; you should be left with a ring roughly 1/2 inch wide.
- 2). Cut strips of tulle 1/4 inch wide by 3 1/2 inches long. You should have at least 20 pieces, although you may need a few more.
- 3). Fold one piece of tulle in half. Slip the tulle through the hole in the middle of the circle; go down through the middle and under the cardboard. The fold should be just outside the circle. Slide the loose ends of the tulle through the fold in the tulle; pull tight.
- 4). Continue adding tulle around the circle. Push the tulle together so it completely covers the cardboard.
- 5). Glue a large jewel or bead in the middle of the brooch. Glue a brooch pin to the back. Allow it to dry completely before wearing.
- 1). Thread a needle with thread that matches the tulle color. Cut a piece of tulle measuring 2 feet long by 1 foot wide.
- 2). Twist one end of the tulle tightly together. Take a few long stitches in the the tulle. Pull the thread tightly, gathering the tulle together. It should form a tight ball.
- 3). Twist another small section of the tulle and wrap it around the tightly gathered piece. Make it look like flower petals.
- 4). Make a few stitches between the first wrap and the center of the flower to hold them in place. Continue wrapping the tulle around, in larger circles, until the flower is the size you want it. Add stitches where necessary to hold it in place.
- 5). Cut the end of the tulle when you reach the desired side. Pull the end to the back of the flower and stitch it down. Glue a brooch pin to the back of the flower. Add a bead or jewel to the front if you wish.
