o They should have high credentials and qualified education. Certified Financial Planner (CFP,®) is one, Registered Investment Advisor or Juris Doctor, Financial Planner or Public Accountant?

o Have they been in business for at least 5 years?
o How many clients do they have? Hopefully more than a few and less than too many to give you the proper attention. What do their clients say about them?
o They should consult with advisors such as lawyers, accountants, bankers, mortgage brokers and others to keep hold of the very complex markets.
o Do they hold a Federal Securities License from the National Association of Securities Dealers?
o What kind of financial services are they offering? Make sure that they are enough to cover your needs & interests.
