How to Draw Donkey Ears
- 1
Determine the length of the donkey's ears. If drawing a side view, measure from the top of the donkey's head, to the bottom of the head, at the place it connects to the neck. Call this measurement A. The length of the donkey's ears will be 75% of measurement A. To arrive at this measurement, multiply measurement A by .75. - 2
Begin the bottom of the donkey's ears around 1/3 down from the top of measurement A. This would be the same distance if you are drawing a front view of the donkey's head. - 3
Draw a long, narrow oval for the donkey's ear. The middle of the ear will be the widest portion. The width will be approximately 25% the measurement of the ear's length. The bottom of the ear will curve to the back of the donkey, and the top tip of the ear will curve to the front of the donkey. - 4
Draw fur inside the donkey's ear. The donkey's long ear will concave, and inside will be tuffs of fur.
