How to Teach Hess English Classes in Taiwan
- 1). Meet their requirements. Applicants must be native English speakers with passports from an English-speaking country and have either a Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an Associate's with a TEFL or TESOL certificate. Applicants must also be willing to sign a one-year contract, be in good health and pass a criminal background check.
- 2). Complete the application form online. Have your passport information on hand. Know the date you would like to begin and in what area you would like to work. Attach a copy of your resume.
- 3). Contact your local Hess recruiter or wait for a recruiter to contact you. Send a recent photo of yourself and a copy of your college degree.
- 4). Begin the paperwork for a Resident Visa soon after your acceptance to avoid complications. Once you have the Visa, apply for an Alien Resident Certificate, which serves as your ID and Work Permit in Taiwan.
- 5). Fly to Taiwan. Representatives of Hess will pick you up from the airport and provide accommodations. Attend their 9-day TEFL training program. Afterwards, you will be sent to your branch to observe classes and begin teaching.
