How to Access Shared Docs From Win98
- 1). Double-click the "My Network" icon on your Windows 98 computer. This opens a window that lists all the networked computers.
- 2). Click the "Tool" menu item and click "Map network drive." This opens a window where you enter your shared resources information.
- 3). Type the folder name where the shared files are stored. For instance, mapping to a computer named "computer" and a shared folder named "folder," you enter "\\computer\folder" into the text box. Click "OK" to save your settings.
- 4). Double-click the "My Computer" desktop icon. Notice the newly mapped drive is listed. Double-click it to view all the files shared from the remote computer.
