For my 30th birthday, my sister took me to a wonderful shelter-the Connecticut Humane Society-to choose a rescue kitty as my present. As soon as I saw this wonderful black furball, I knew that we were meant for each other. It has been more than 3 years now and I love her more each day.

I am so saddened that black kitties have a harder time being adopted...I can't imagine life without my black cat with the bright green eyes.

Despite having many "cat toys," Riley's favorite place to hang out is this styrofoam cooler top!
