Facts about EBOLA Virus disease (EVD)-
Now a days everyone is watching news and seeing Ebola Virus is spreading in South Africa. So many people had died because of this virus in South Africa as this is very dangerous to health. EVD is very severe and fatal illness in Human bodies. It causes bleeding inside and outside of the body.
Ebola was first reported in 1972 in Sudan and Congo. The name "Ebola" was taken from Ebola river which was near the village of Yambuku, democratic republic of Congo.
As this virus spread through body it damages immune system and internal organs.

There is no known or specific cure yet against EVD, suspected cases should be taken to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention and may require intensive care. Severely ill patients are close monitored against dehydration and are orally rehydrated with solutions containing electrolytes or intravenous fluids.
Symptoms of EBOLA:
1)- High Fever
2)- Headache
3)- Sore Throat
4)- Internal weakness, muscle and joint pain
5)- After fever Vomiting, rash, diarrhea, impaired of liver and kidney functions, internal and external bleeding
Precautions of EBOLA:
1)- Make sure animal products are well cooked before consumptions.
2)- As experts have yet to discover a cure powerful enough to kill the virus, raising awareness on the risk factors and protective measures against EVD infection are the only way to reduce human infection and death.
3)- Tests of blood and tissues also can diagnose Ebola.
4)- Wash your hands properly and use sanitizer while going in public places.
Efforts to help those who are infected are supportive and include giving either oral rehydration therapy (slightly sweet and salty water to drink) or intravenous fluids.The disease has a high risk of death, killing between 50% and 90% of those infected with the virus
No licensed vaccine for EVD is available. Several vaccines are being tested, but none are available for clinical use.
Severely ill patients require intensive supportive care. Patients are frequently dehydrated and require oral rehydration with solutions containing electrolytes or intravenous fluids.
