Newark, New Jersey's largest city, has long had a large Portuguese population; in fact, The Ironbound is a neighborhood in Newark that is sometimes called "Little Portugal" because of its sizable Portuguese community. Throughout the state, Portuguese cuisine can be found at many popular restaurants.
