How to Clean a Ryobi Paint Sprayer
- 1). Remove leftover paint from the spray hose. Press the reverse button to reverse the paint from the hose back into the paint container. If your model does not contain the reverse feature, replace the paint container underneath the sprayer with a container of water, and spray the remaining paint back into the paint container until water begins to come out of the spray gun. Stop spraying once water begins flowing from the sprayer.
- 2). Release the air pressure on your sprayer by turning the pressure knob all the way down. Squeeze the trigger to completely remove leftover pressure from the hose. Removing air pressure prolongs the life of your sprayer and allows you to easily wrap up the spray hose for storage.
- 3). Unscrew attachments and remove the spray tip. Most parts can be removed by hand. Use a wrench if you have trouble removing parts. Wash the sprayer attachments and spray tip with soap and warm water.
