Actually Kinda Sweet

I wasn't sure what to expect from Jude Schell's latest lesbian sex book. Would it be just a lot of sexy photos of pretty girls with no real relevant content? I was pleasantly surprised to find that Her Sweet Spot: 101 Sexy Ways to Find and Please It, actually offered some great tips for starting and maintaining a sexual relationship with another woman.


Sex and Romance Tips

What 101 tips would I find between these glossy pages? Everything from kink to seduction to sweet and tender love making tips are included. For example in #4 Glow: "We're instantly drawn to those whom others want to be around. Become the woman other women want to know, want to be, and want to be with." Sounds like the kind of advice I would give.

And then there's the playful suggestion #64 Pie-Sexual: "Sometimes she takes it all too seriously. Keep it real by playfully capitalizing on her vulnerability." And then she goes on ways to introduce creamy pies into love-making. It actually sounds fun to me! Let me run out and get a banana cream.

Sexy Images

To go along with the 101 sexy tips are 101 sexy images of women to illustrate each of the positions and propositions. The models are all femme and thin, but sexy none-the-less. This is the one area I think Jude Schell could improve all of her books is with more diversity of images. Although this book has some good sex tips for lesbians, the photos appear to be trying to appeal to a male gaze.

That could be intentional. The more book sales, the better, right?

Cure for Lesbian Bed Death?

If you're finding your love making to be a bit on the stale side, this book might be just the thing to spark some creativity back into your bedroom. (Or back yard--#41 Where the Bee Sucks, There Suck I: "What better way to tap into your sensual dispositions than to have a three-way with Mother Nature?")

Her Sweet Spot would make a nice Valentines gift to share with your sweetie or a gift for that friend who is coming out and is looking for a roadmap into the world of lesbian love making.
