Power Window Motor Installation for 97 Camaro 3.8 V6
- 1). Remove the Camaro's window switch bezel from the door panel using the trim tool. Disconnect the switch from the door harness by hand.
- 2). Remove the screws from the door panel with your Phillips screwdriver. Pry the door panel away from the door with the trim tool. Lift the door panel up and off the door by hand.
- 3). Raise the Camaro's window to the top of the door and shove two window wedges between the glass and the window wipe to hold the glass up.
- 4). Unplug the Camaro's door harness from the base of the old window motor by hand. Remove the window motor's retaining bolts from the door support and window regulator with your socket set.
- 5). Replace the Camaro's old window motor with the new window motor by hand. Bolt the new motor in place with the socket set. Plug the Camaro's door harness into the new motor by hand.
- 6). Pull the window wedges out of the door by hand. Reinstall the door panel in reverse of how you removed it.
