When Wrinkles Strike - Understanding the Factors That Cause it to Appear

9
What are the Causes? There is nothing further than the truth that the aging process is part of us and we all must go through it whether we like it or not.
Unfortunately there many people who wish it was otherwise.
Although it is important to note that there can be some factors, natural and others of lifestyle that can actually speed up the aging process that affects the condition of your skin.
Some of those factors include but are not limited to: sun damage, smoking, heredity, skin type, stress and general carelessness in taking care of your skin.
Your skin has three specific layers that make it up namely: the dermis- the outermost; the epidermis - the middle layer, the subcutaneous - the innermost layer.
The dermis is made up of some elastin fibers that are elastic and help to maintain a firm and nice looking skin.
It produces collagen, a protein that helps the body to keep your skin moist and able to stretch protecting your skin from wrinkling.
The effects of age As we get older, the body finds it difficult to catch up with all the maintenance work that all the tissues have to keep up with everyday.
One of the most affected parts of the body is the skin.
The dermis can no longer cope and therefore loses its ability to moisturize the skin.
This is because the collagen proteins and elastin are now in short supply and the end result is the skin will begin sagging, cracking, thinning and the inevitable inability to prevent wrinkles.
Because of our individual body chemistry, we all get wrinkles at different stages in our lives.
There are people who will have no sign of them at the age of 50 whereas some will be overloaded at the age of 30.
Some of the other contributing factors are like personal hygiene, genetics, smoking or lack of it and the results of exposure to the sun.
So if you want some good prediction of where you may lie as far as they are concerned you may want to look at how your parents aged, it could give you a sort of an indication.
Where do they mostly appear? There isn't much we can do to prevent aging which is the number one cause of wrinkles but we can do a lot to change our lifestyle to slow them down, at least until we are old.
They usually form around the loose parts of the face such as the eyes, forehead, around and about the nose, between the eyes, and around the mouth.
You need to take time to learn about your skin and how to take good care of it.
