Diving in Sussex

8
Sussex presents the perfect opportunity to go SCUBA diving in England.
Not only do you have the brilliant English Channel to go diving in, but also the whole of Sussex to explore during the time you aren't in the water.
One of the most important things to know before you set off for a SCUBA holiday somewhere is that there will be plenty of facilities for you to stock up on any equipment you might need.
SCUBA gear can be expensive, so renting is a good idea for many people.
You might also find that you need something repaired or replaced, so an adequately supplied SCUBA shop is a definite must wherever you are taking your holiday.
Of course, the other thing you will be looking for is an exciting bit of coast to actually do your diving on and the coast of Sussex doesn't disappoint on that front.
The English Channel has some of the best coastline for diving around all of the UK.
You can spot plenty of rays around, especially the well-known sting ray as well as all sorts of other marine life.
It's like a trip to the aquarium but much more exciting.
There are also a huge number of wrecks around the coast of Britain and SCUBA diving is the only way to explore them fully.
If you don't yet know how to SCUBA dive then Sussex can be a great place to learn.
There are plenty of training facilities as well as easy lakes to get you ready for an ocean dive.
Back on dry land you'll find that Sussex has plenty of accommodation for your stay, whether you want to go budget or luxury.
Of course the better your accommodation, the more enjoyable you'll find coming home after a day at sea and wrapping up in some warm clothes.
When you need a break from submerging yourself in cold water, Sussex boasts some great sights to see and attractions to visit, so even when you're not in the water you'll be discovering something new.
The old town of Rye and the modernity of Brighton offer whatever it is you're looking for on a day out.
