Freedom For the Youth

3
"You are the hope of the church and of the world: you are my hope.
" Pope John Paul II Once in our lifetime, we were full of vigor, and beautifully young.
We had all sorts of ideas rising in our brain and several steps that we wanted to take.
We were so alive that strength never failed us to reach for our dreams.
Yet, there were times we were rebellious and wanting.
Between puberty and maturity so many things happened.
But one thing remained clear to us - that in all those times, we followed only one trail.
During those times we got lost, we went back to the same path which was always open, and accepting - and that was the path of love.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
" (John 3:16) The New Generation With what technology offers, the young generation is a breed of intellectuals who can adapt to new challenges.
On the other hand, the teen years are the crucial years.
Here the teenager needs complete parental support because the son/daughter is facing a transitional period.
Here, many questions arise "What would I do with my life? What do I really want? What kind of person do I want to be? Freedom for the Youth According to Bradshaw, a psychologist, here is a list of the "Five Freedoms" to instill drive and confidence in the youth: 1.
The freedom to see and hear (perceive) what is here and now, rather than what was, will be or should be.
2.
The freedom to be what one thinks, rather than what one should think.
3.
The freedom to be what one feels, rather than what one should feel.
4.
The freedom to want (desire) and to choose what one would want.
5.
The freedom to imagine one's self-actualization, rather than playing a rigid role or always playing it safe.
These freedoms amount to full self-acceptance and integration.
The Youth who loves himself/herself, love others.
The rules made simple are the Ten Commandments.
They could also refer to the golden rule.
The proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, offer nuggets of wisdom for these young men and women.
They tell the youth to hear the instructions of their fathers and the laws of their mothers, keep the commandments of God, and despise not the chastening of the Lord.
Living healthy is trying possibilities.
Supporting them (the youth) and setting them free, will help them make decisions they will forever cherish.
