How to Make Your Own Hypoallergenic Shampoo for Dogs
- 1). Put 16 ounces of a mild dishwashing liquid (scent and additive free), 16 ounces of apple-cider vinegar and 4 ounces of glycerin in a plastic bowl. Mix all the ingredients well and dilute with 16 ounces of water.
- 2). Wet your dog’s coat thoroughly using lukewarm water. Take a little bit of the homemade hypoallergenic shampoo in your palm and apply it gently all over the dog's body, avoiding the face and eyes.
- 3). Massage the shampoo into the dog’s skin and leave it on for five to 10 minutes.
- 4). Rinse off the shampoo well. Make sure no shampoo is left behind on the coat, as it may dry up the skin and/or cause itching.
- 5). Store the unused shampoo in an airtight container. This will stay for about four weeks.
