How to Replace a Battery on a Vino Scooter
- 1). Park the scooter on a firm, level surface. Support the scooter on its center stand.
- 2). Remove the right and left floor board side covers by backing out two screws in each cover with a Philips screw driver in a counter-clockwise direction. Set the covers and screws aside. Lift the rubber floor mat up and set it aside.
- 3). Remove the battery cover under the floor mat by backing out the two holding screws with a Philips screw driver in a counter-clockwise direction. Set the cover and screws aside.
- 4). Remove the negative battery cable by backing out the terminal screw with a Philips screw driver in a counter-clockwise direction. Remove the positive cable in the same fashion. Push the battery cables to one side and lift the battery from the battery compartment.
- 5). Lower the new battery into the battery compartment. Attach the positive cable to the positive battery terminal and tighten with a Philips screw driver in a clockwise direction. Attach the negative cable to the negative terminal in the same fashion.
- 6). Place the battery cover back over the battery and tighten the two holding screws in a clockwise direction with a Philips screw driver. Place the floor mat back onto the floorboard over the battery cover.
- 7). Reattach the right and left floor board side covers with the original holding screws turned in with a Philips screw driver in a clockwise direction.
